Frequently Asked Questions
We bring everything to you! We can set up in your home, apartment, hotel, or other private space. All we need is about a 5' × 5' area and access to an outlet. Our setup is quick, clean, and designed to contain overspray, so you don’t have to worry about your room ending up tan too.
Salted Peach is based in Hingham and currently travels within approximately 7 miles of Hingham. Outside that area? Just reach out and we’ll see what we can do.
For most events, 1–2 days before is the sweet spot. This gives your tan time to develop, rinse, and settle into its final color.
For brides, we highly recommend doing a trial tan before the wedding so we can figure out exactly what shade and level of glow you love.
That’s what we’re here for! You don’t need to know what shade, solution, or depth you want before your appointment. We’ll talk about your skin, how you naturally tan, what look you’re going for, and any upcoming events, then choose the best option for you.
No! This is probably the most common spray tan worry we hear. Your tan is customized to your skin tone, undertone, and how bronzed you want to be, so the goal is always a natural, sun-kissed glow that still looks like you.
Good prep makes a huge difference! Exfoliate and shave or wax at least 24 hours before your appointment, and make sure any old spray tan or self-tanner is completely removed.
On the day of your appointment, come with clean, dry skin and avoid lotion, oils, makeup, perfume, and NO deodorant. The cleaner the canvas, the better your tan can develop.
We don’t recommend it. Any leftover tan or self-tanner can cause your new tan to grab unevenly and develop patchy.
For the smoothest, most even result, remove as much of your previous tan as possible before your appointment.
During your tan, wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Just keep in mind that whatever you wear may leave a tan line.
Afterward, think dark, loose, and comfy. Loose pants, an oversized top, and slip-on shoes are perfect. Try to avoid tight bras, leggings, socks, or anything that could rub against your tan while it develops.
A little cosmetic bronzer can transfer before your first rinse, which is totally normal. We recommend wearing dark, loose clothing and sleeping in dark pajamas if you’ll be going to bed before rinsing.
Most bronzer comes out of washable fabrics, but we always recommend avoiding anything light-colored or delicate until after your first rinse.
We recommend waiting until your skin is completely healed. If your skin is sunburned, irritated, or peeling, your tan is much more likely to develop unevenly and become patchy as your skin sheds.
Give your skin time to recover first, then we can get you glowing.
If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, we always recommend checking with your healthcare provider before booking.
If you do choose to tan, just let us know beforehand so we can talk through the appointment and any extra precautions that may make you more comfortable.
